OMS117  is a team of veteran scientists, engineers and business
people who combine dozens of years of experience, across
disciplines, to evaluate mission-critical systems from every
angle. Each member of the team has both a prestigious
academic background and extensive hands-on practical
experience. By design, the team works together in a
collaborative, collegial way -- each team member is encouraged
to "Think Like An Astronaut" (TM) to comment, challenge and bring their special expertise,
experience and perspective to every engagement.

We are often asked about the origin of our name - OMS117.
OMS is an acronym for Olivas Mission Success. This embraces our philosophy that -- for our clients -- success isn’t just desirable, it’s the only acceptable  outcome.  117 refers to the NASA mission,  STS 117, when our team leader, John “Danny” Olivas and six   astronaut colleagues traveled to the International Space Station aboard the Atlantis space shuttle.

Lessons Learned In Space isn’t just a slogan for OMS117, it’s a
commitment to our clients and ourselves to use the most
advanced engineering and scientific tools and processes to
tackle the most uncompromising challenges.
